Winona’s girls track and field team competed in its second-ever True Team State Meet on Saturday, earning a ninth-place finish in Class AA at 361.5 points in the 12-team meet.

After picking up its first win of the year Monday against Cotter, Lewiston-Altura’s baseball team kept rolling Tuesday with a 13-5 home Three Rivers Conference win over Rushford-Peterson.
On Monday, Lewiston-Altura announced the hiring of Samuel Barnes as the new head coach of the girls basketball team, bringing in a coach that is quickly rising through the local ranks.
After winning the Three Rivers Conference for the first time in 31 years last season, the Rushford-Peterson/Houston boys were the runner up this spring, the best local finish at the conference championship meet in Elgin.
