About Winona County History Center
Although our museums are closed and public programs are postponed for now, history never stops. Local history becomes our collective history and we know its importance now more than ever. Future generations will learn about the historic COVID-19 pandemic through stories, accounts, images and video from you living it today. Please consider documenting your experiences, thoughts and feelings, and ways you have seen COVID-19 affect Winona County communities and donate them to the Winona County Historical Society for future study. Please either email archives@winonahistory.org or mail them safely later to WCHS Archives, 160 Johnson St. Winona, MN 55987. You can find more information, get updates, take a virtual visit, stay engaged with local history, and donate at www.winonahistory.org.
The Winona County History Center is the headquarters of the Winona County Historical Society. WCHS collects, preserves and interprets the history of Winona County to share with locals and visitors alike through three museums, programs, events, the Laird Lucas Library and Archives, and much more.
