Kathleen B. "Kay" Keeley, 90, of Winona passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Lake Winona Manor.
Kay was born March 15, 1919, in Rushford, Minn., the daughter of Walter and Selma (Iverson) Glende. She was united in marriage in Winona with Charles J. Keeley of New York. He preceded her in death.
In her spare time, she enjoyed painting with watercolors. Her works were exhibited at numerous art shows in New York City.
Kay will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Pat Calia, Brooksville, Fla.; sons, Chuck (Phyllis) Keeley, Yonkers, N.Y., and Tom Keeley, Mamaroneck, N.Y.; grandchildren, Patricia (Damon), James, Laura, Jean Marie, Christina, and Charles Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Donald, Winona, and Marlys Morken, Rushford; brothers, Leo "Stubby" Glende, Georgia, and Walter "Bosco" (Rachel) Glende, California; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Maurice and Brice Glende; sister, Vivian Burke; and son-in-law, Angelo Calia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The Rev. Richard Colletti will officiate. A private family burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Condolences or memories may be left for Kay's family at www.watkowski-mulyck.com.
