Arson suspected in northern fires

CLEARBROOK, Minn. (AP) — Arson is suspected in weekend fires that destroyed one town hall in northern Minnesota and damaged another.

Crews were responding to a fire at an outbuilding at B&M Supply outside of Clearbrook early Sunday when a fire was reported at Leon Town Hall.

A few minutes later, the Clearwater County sheriff's office got a report that Eddy Town Hall was on fire.

The Eddy Town Hall burned to the ground, and the B&M Supply outbuilding and Leon Town Hall sustained extensive damage.

The state fire marshal's office is investigating and suspects arson in all three fires.
