The department released 450 pages of documents last week detailing an investigation that found campaign donations to the governor did not play a role in the decision to allow the sale of a nuclear power plant.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced a year ago he found no wrongdoing and was not bringing any charges in the case, which lasted nearly two years.
Doyle’s campaign spokesman Anson Kaye says the investigation was a “colossal waste of time.”
Division of Criminal Investigation agents say they collected 20,000 documents during the probe, which will be made public this week.
