Yes, he keeps bragging that the escalation is working and Democrats should be embarrassed to even have questioned our illegal invasion of a Third World country. I wonder if the 67 people who died yesterday would agree with John McCain.
But the counter still says killing is down, and we have them on the run — right to Afghanistan.
Have you noticed how much violence has gone up in Afghanistan ever since the so-called surge in Iraq? Now we have to switch soldiers over there to beef up security, and there is even talk of scale downs in Iraq.
I’d be willing to bet that al-Qaida would love to keep playing the shell game with us.
As long as we are in Iraq, they will always have a place to go back to fight and they won’t care how long they have to wait.
The good news is that McCain was senile enough to bait Barack Obama into a European trip. When Obama beats McCain, we will finally get the real support to fight the war on terror, and I’m not talking about Morocco. Even the Bush/McCain hand-picked al-Maliki agrees with Obama, so there is still hope.
Get out of Iraq and use the money on our bridges and schools.
Keep in mind that McCain isn’t that war hero anymore, but just a broken-down, old man that George W. Bush created.
