Arran Davis hit his second playoff home run in as many games as the LeJetz rallied for a 7-6 win Thursday over Owatonna at Hudson field.
Two nights after holding off the Rochester A’s 2-1 in the opening round of the playoffs, the LeJetz rallied from a 4-1 deficit, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth against Owatonna. Davis highlighted the rally with a three-run home run — his second of the season.
Matt Wolfe went 3-for-4, Andy Wolfe 2-for-5 with an RBI, Jake Wanek 2-for-4 with an RBI and Jeff Walters 2-for-4 for the LeJetz (21-12).
“We really hit the ball hard all the way through the lineup,” LeJetz coach Gary Hoeppner said. “We had good contributions from everyone.”
Winona starter Jake Walther struck out seven over 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. David Miller pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief to pick up the save.
The LeJetz advance to face the Rochester Redhawks at noon Saturday at Hudson Field. The Redhawks swept a doubleheader against the LeJetz earlier this season.
