Northfield erased a 7-2 deficit with six runs in the top of the sixth inning. Sam Moss drove in the go-ahead run with a three-run home run.
Jake Filand, Kyle Kowalewski, Brandon Beech and Erik Chapman had two hits apiece for the Buddies, who finished their season 18-10.
Kowalewski went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs and Filand 2-for-3 with a triple.
“It’s obviously disappointing for us,” Buddies coach Matt O’Brien said. “But we played our best ball at the end of the season. Our kids have nothing to hang their heads about.”
