MONDOVI, Wis. — Winsome M. Nyre, 97, of Mondovi, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Homeplace Haven in Mondovi.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Mondovi.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi and for one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.

RUSHFORD, Minn. — Edna H. Olness Onsrud, 92, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.
Memorial services are being planned for a later date. Hoff Funeral Homes-Rushford Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Ruth Palbicki, 82, of Winona died on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Lake Winona Manor. Arrangements are pending with the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.

MONEY CREEK, Minn. — Michael J. Brand, 50, of Money Creek died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at his home.
Michael John was born March 19, 1958, in Rochester, Minn., to John and Marlene (Johnston) Brand. He graduated from Lewiston High School, in 1976. He married Nancy Dailey and she preceded him in death. He later married Helen Wood.
Michael was employed at Midwest Metals, Winona, as a pattern maker and in January 2008 he received the International Pattern Makers Award. He also spent many hours on his farm and was a master carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and competition fishing, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his wife Helen Wood, Money Creek; four sons: Josh Brand, Rockford, Iowa; Justin (Jessica) Brand, Minnesota City, Minn.; Jason Randall, Lewiston, Minn.; and Adam (Laura) Wood, Woodstock, Ill.; two grandchildren: Caitlin and Isaac Brand; his mother, Marlene Brand, Lewiston; his sister, Suzie, Lewiston; and uncle, Dave (Pam) Brand, Lewiston. He is also survived by Nancy’s brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Nancy (Dailey) Brand; niece, Tiffany Dailey Speltz; and nephew, Adam Dailey.
Funeral services for Michael will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona, with the Rev. Kathleen Zielinski, officiating. Interment will be in Lewiston Public Cemetery, Lewiston.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona, and one hour prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Dave Brand, Don Smith, Mark Thesing, Gary Kampa, Rich Volker, and Mike Brevig and the honorary casket bearer is Gary Broehm.
