Ritscher propels Alma to share of Dairyland small division title

ALMA, Wis. — Brady Ritscher’s walk-off, two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the seventh gave Alma at least a share of the Dairyland Conference small division title with a 3-2 win over G-E-T.

G-E-T pitcher David Kulig took a no-hitter into the seventh before Alma came up with a bunt single and Ritscher’s winner.
Jordan Ludwigson picked up the win for Alma with a scoreless top of the seventh in relief. Korry Iberg started and struck out six through six innings.

Kulig took the loss despite eight strikeouts in 61/3 innings.

M-M 10, C-FC 7

FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. — Nick Auer gave Cochrane-Fountain City a 4-3 lead with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first, but Melrose-Mindoro took the lead for good with two runs in the top of the second.

Auer finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Karl Hoffmann went 3-for-4 with a double for C-FC.

Melrose-Mindoro pounded out 14 hits and held on through a three-run, seventh-inning rally by C-FC.
